Sant Jordi in Montreal: Homage to Mercedes Palomino

Created especially for this occasion, the musical and literary performance Compliment à Mercedes combine the talent of two Catalan artists from Barcelona: interpreter-composer Eduard Iniesta, and actress Mercè Sampietro. The name of the show is taken from the title of one of the poems in Catalan that are part of the performance at the historical Théâtre du Rideau Vert, founded by Mercedes Palomino.

A large exhibition by Daniel Steegmann Mangrané at Kiasma, The Museum of Contemporary Art in Helsinki

The Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma in Helsinki (Finland) hosts the largest exhibition of Catalan artist Daniel Steegmann Mangrané’s work in the Nordic countries, with the support of The Institut Ramon Llull. Born in Barcelona, Steegman Mangrané has settled in Rio de Janeiro for two decades.

The Alliance, led by the Generalitat de Catalunya, aims to promote the presence of Catalan Language on digital media. The Institut Ramon Llull participates in this new pact.

Rocio Bonilla takes part in the Bay Area Book Festival 2023

Author, artist, and educator Rocio Bonilla joins The Bay Area Book Festival 2023 all the way from Catalonia, in Spain. She’ll first read from her book In the Neighborhood in the Story Time Circle, and then lead kids and families in Creativity (on) Center through a fun art activity related to her book.
