Núria Font at Dance on Camera Festival

New York, January 28

Núria Font at Dance on Camera Festival

Núria Font will be participating in Dance on Camera Festival at Lincoln Center, where she will give a talk on January 28th.

Filmmaker and producer, Núria Font has been running Mostra de VideoDansa, a Spanish biannual dance film festival, for twenty years, and her own production company Nu2 since 2003. She has been a galvanizing force for dance on camera, commissioning films from Spanish artists, exhibiting them internationally, and conducting research into the field.

Núria Font will present her new work Malpelo: Los Pies Sobre la Tierra, Los Brazos en Movimiento as well as Peix, co-directed with Àngels Margarit.

New York, January 24

Les filles Föllen bring their North American tour to a close

The contemporary dance company Les filles Föllen say goodbye to New York on 24th January. For one month they have been performing their show Two Girls Smoke a Cigarette in Only 30 Seconds in different venues throughout the city, such as Zebulon Cafe Concert and Microscope Gallery, as well as La Elástica in Montreal, Quebec. The last performance will take place at the Chelsea Modern Gallery in New York on 24th January.

Washington, May 6

Miró, The Ladder of Escape, travels to Washington in May

On 6th May, Miró, The Ladder of Escape will open at the National Gallery of Art in Washington. This exhibition, which reveals the political commitment of the renowned Catalan artist, was on display at the Tate Modern Gallery in London from April to September of last year, and proved to be a resounding success, receiving more than 300,000 visitors. Afterwards it travelled on to the Fundació Joan Miró in Barcelona.
