Cold Skin is a 2017 French-Spanish science fiction horror film directed by Xavier Gens and based on the 2002 novel of the same name by Albert Sánchez Piñol.
On a remote islet of the South Atlantic, two men barricaded in a lighthouse repel attacks of cold-skinned creatures. The protagonists think they are in the heart of darkness, while the darkness is in their heart. Civilization against barbarism, reason against passion, light against darkness: so many magnetic poles that attract and repel each other in a perfectly cyclical history, because man always obeys the same fears, the same atavistic desires.
