Like every year since 1995, Georgetown will celebrate Catalan Culture Day next Monday, April 23.Everyone is invited. Georgetown is hosting an activity for everyone: A conversation with two professors from the Government Department, a movie, roses and, of course, a pa amb tomàquet (light Catalan dinner) at the end of the day.

Catalan Cinema: Uncertain Glory (a film by Agustí Villaronga, with 8 Gaudí Prizes). It’s 1937, and in war-torn Spain, a young officer in the Republican Army will hopelessly fall for the charms of a deceitful femme-fatale who will not hesitate to use him in her best interest. In Catalan with English subtitles. 
6pm-8pm (ICC 462)
Catalonia Today: Quo vadis? A conversation with two professors from the Government Department, Georgetown University: Dr. Laia Balcells and Dr. Josep Colomer, both specialists in political science, will discuss about the current political situation in Catalonia. 
8pm (ICC 450)
Catalan dinner (traditional Catalan tapes) All day long Book exchange in the lobby of the Spanish and Portuguese Department. Bring a good book to give. Take one with you!
