Catalan artist Eugènia Balcells, based in New York for over 30 years, is presenting her multimedia pieces FREQUENCIES, ORIGIN and ALPHABETH, together with the mural HOMAGE TO THE ELEMENTS in her studio in Brooklyn.
Eugènia Balcells, with a background in architecture and a Masters Degree in Arts, started her artistic career in the field of experimental cinema. Light has always been her main interest and her instrument of expression. Science, art and philosophy are always interwoven in her installations.
Balcells' exhibition LIGHT YEARS, already shown in Madrid, Mexico and Panamá is going to open at CosmoCaixa, the Science Museum of Barcelona, next Spring.
