Don't miss the chance to see Las Migas in concert on Thursday, 27th of June, at St. Mary's Music Hall! Founded in 2004 with musicians from all over Europe, Las Migas combines a variety of genres with flamenco at its core.
The band has released 3 different studio albums: Reinas del matute (2010, with Sílvia Pérez Cruz, the famous Catalan singer, who was part of the band until 2011), Nosotras somos and Vente conmigo (the last two with Alba Carmona as the lead singer). Their last album to this date, Vente conmigo, has been nominated for the Latin Grammy Awards 2017 in the category of Best Flamenco Album. They have performed in different countries and important events, including the Mercat de Música Viva de Vic aned la Pedrera. Here they will present their 2018 show Érase una vez Las Migas, a prelude to their next album, which is expected for next winter.
The concert is part of the Music Halls Project, which seeks to bring world-class artists into public spaces. And what a space indeed! An 800 year old church in Waltham Forest, in NE London, which complements arts events with community work.
