Applications now open for grants for the promotion of Catalan Visual Arts, Architecture, and Design abroad

Institute Ramon Llull's grants for the promotion of Catalan visual arts, architecture, and/or design abroad are now open. The call for applications will close on 5 July 2018.




Purpose

These grants are offered solely and exclusively for the transportation of cargo and the author’s travel expenses, so that s/he may attend the opening of the exhibition for the promotion of visual arts, architecture, and/or design abroad.

The artist may be accompanied by another person who fills an artistic or technical role that is necessary to the exhibition. The travel expenses for the author and his/her artistic or technical assistant, as well as the transportation expenses for the exhibition cargo, must be applied for in the same application

 

Requirements

a. That the artist, curator, designer or architect has had at least one professional solo exhibition in the past three years, and/or has had a monograph published in relation to his/her work.

b. That the author has been reviewed by specialist critics in the past three years.

c. Catalan visual arts, design and architecture taking place from January 1st to September 30th 2018.

d. The trip must begin and end in Catalonia.

 

Amount


A maximum of three applications per author can be submitted during the grant-call year.

The travel cost for the author, who may be accompanied by another person carrying out a necessary atistic or technical role with regard to the activity, and the cargo transport costs for the show in question must be included in the same application.

The minimum sum that may be requested is €300.

The maximum sum awardable is €15,000.
