Applications now open for three grants that aim to promote Catalan literature abroad

The public calls for applications to opt for three of Institute Ramon Llull’s grants that encourage the promotion of Catalan literature abroad have been published in the Official Journal of the Government of Catalonia.

 
 




Applications are now open for the following three grants:

Literature promotion: Grants to carry out promotional activities focused on Catalan and Aranese literature in 2018

The application deadline for this call is 20 April 2018. 

Children's literature publication: Grants awarded for the publication abroad of illustrated works of literature for children and young people 2018

The application deadline for this call is 20 April 2018. 

Residences for foreign translators in Catalonia: Grants to foreign translators working in the translation of Catalan literature works, to stay in a residency in Catalonia. 

The application deadline for this call is 15 May 2018. 

Applicants must consult the terms and conditions for each grant on the IRL website and undertake the procedure online within the specified deadline.

Two additional lines of funding for literature from the Institut Ramon Llull – the grants for the translation of literary works into other languages and the grants for writers to travel to undertake activities promoting Catalan and Aranese literature outside the Catalan linguistic domain – will be offered in the second quarter of 2018.
