Breaking down barriers, building new structures, demystifying club culture.
As spaces for artistic experimentation decrease in urban environments, where else can alternative and independent culture can thrive? How can new structures (i.e. DIY) and initiatives support and preserve artistic creation? And how can these new spaces contribute to making club culture more accessible and inclusive? This panel highlights the value of club culture as a necessary source of creativity and experimentation in the urban environment.

madison moore (LDN)
madison moore is a cultural critic, dj and performance-maker based in London and Berlin. His work touches pop culture, queer studies, nightlife, sound, media, visual culture and contemporary art, and blurs the lines between scholarship and artistic practice.

Georgia Taglietti (BCN)
Head of Communications at Sonar & Sonar+D, Director of She Said So Barcelona.
At Sonar, Georgia is responsible for the creation, management and implementation of all international digital marketing programs and social media content. She is also Board Member and Mentor of the platform She Said So, a global network of women who work in the music industry.
Siren Collective (LDN)
SIREN is a London based collective formed in 2016. Their aim is to create a safe and immersive space for those who are underrepresented in dance music, whilst continuing to critique the electronic music scene as a whole. Members of the collective are DJs, producers, VJs, writers, graphic designers and fine artists.
DIY Space for London (LDN)
DIY Space for London is a cooperatively-run social centre located in South London. They offer low cost creative facilities, meeting rooms and social space as well as space for screenings, talks and performances.
Victor Hurtado (BCN)
Founder at Màgia Roja. 
Magia Roja is a pioneer utopian project born out of the Barcelona's dystopia, a cultural think tank and creative space located in the central district of Gràcia.

How will technology change the music and art experience? 
With the development of new virtual spaces, the way we experience dance music and night activities might change. From virtual dancefloors to algorithmic DJs, new technologies including VR and 3D simulations have the potential to redefine the way we experience culture, connecting people from any location as well as challenging the notions of identity and experience.

Aleix Fernandez (BCN)
Founder at OnionLab and digital artist.
Onion Lab is a Barcelona based studio for art, music and technology specialising in projection mapping, VR and audiovisual content for festivals, exhibitions and music.
Marija Bozinovska Jones
Artist and Somerset House Studios resident exploring precarious post-digital conditions. Marija’s work revolves around formation of identity within augmented technocapitalism.

IKONIKA + Mungo AV (LDN)
Ikonika presents a special AV set in collaboration with visual artist Mungo taking viewers into the world of Ikonika’s new album Distractions recently released on Hyperdub. Mixed with 3D visuals and video inspired by art deco factories and illuminated, hi-tech signage of London’s roads the show reveals a futuristic fictional London.

Sunny Graves is the defining project of Barcelona-based British/Latin American electronic musician Simon Williams. Presently linked to the Disboot and Modern Obscure Music imprints, this unrelenting artist is currently performing in support of his second release as Sunny Graves – Erosion EP. 
AWWZ (London Premiere, BCN)
AWWZ is the project of Catalan producer Gemma Portavella. Awwz mixes beats, futuristic pop and R&B with translucent melodies, sensual vocals and slow and imaginative rhythms to become a major appeal of the Barcelona electronic scene. For Vice i-D, she perfectly embodies the new generation of young female producers who are revolutionising club culture in Spain.
