Short Fiction from Catalonia : New and Improved

Jordi Puntí (Manlleu, 1967) has a degree in Romance Philology, and has worked for various publishers. He has published two collections of short stories: Pell d'Armadillo (1988) , which won the Crítica Serra d'Or Award, and Animals tristos (2002). Both books were translated to Spanish by the publisher Salamandra. Jordi Puntí has translated authors as varied as Paul Auster, Daniel Pennac, or Amélie Nothomb to Catalan, and habitually collaborates with the newspaper El País . He recently won the Octavi Pellissa Award for literary projects and is writing his first novel.
