Nobody expected Els Amics de les Arts to go so far with their debut album, Bed & Breakfast, a set of well-written and superbly-performed pop songs that catapulted this quartet, born in a Barcelona student flat, into the first division of Catalan music, with prizes, awards, thousands of albums sold and thousands of fans who never tire of hearing the stories that Els Amics de les Arts put to music, both on disc and live. Their latest release, Espècies per catalogar-se, reached number one on the iTunes download chart and went gold, as well as winning the Silver Impala Prize, the Altaveu 2012 Prize and the ARC 2012 Prize for best tour of theatres and auditoriums.
