After three albums, El Petit de Cal Eril, small but great, is still eager to change. Each disc is another step forward, a new adventure. Whilst he has ploughed the furrow of psychedelic folk until recently, psychedelic soul is the new vehicle he uses to express his inner world in song. A string section features on nearly all the seventeen tracks on his latest album, La figura del buit (2013), a work that shows the artist at the height of his powers after the success of Les sargantanes al sol (2009) and Vol i dol (2010), which sees him still following his own instincts. A fresh triumph: Joan Pons has done it again.
