With a career spanning more than twenty years under their collective belt, El Pont d’Arcalís are one of the leading exponents of folk and traditional music in Catalonia. In 2013, the band will present their new show, Ball a l’hostal. This festive, eminently danceable set is structured like a folk dance and features popular and traditional songs from the Pyrenean mountain counties. The show also features the best-known songs from the band’s repertoire, including La desgràcia d’un pobre home, the pasodoble La cirereta and the chotis Era morisca de Vilac, as well as other dances, including jotas, pericón and fandangos, and tracks from their eighth album, Foc al tribunal (DiscMedi, 2011).
