Flamenco fans are starting to wear that smile again: the smile of those who know that what is cooking will resound in heaven and on earth. It is Catalonia’s great pleasure to introduce, to the whole world, Juan Ramón Caro, a truly outstanding flamenco artist. Or, to put it a better way, to announce an artist whose wisdom and mastery, excellent good taste will be recognised and acclaimed wherever he may go. Caro’s understanding of his instrument and ability to generate musical discourse in his own, personal flamenco style, making it his own whilst always conserving the unique aesthetic of this genre, have made him one of those guitarists who become veritable references. Moreover, his authentic, mature recordings, such as his debut album, Rosa de los vientos, exalt the flamenco arts even more, as he performs with such outstanding guest artists as Enrique Morente, Miguel Poveda, Arcángel, Leo Triviño, Carlos Grilo and Luis Cantarote, amongst others.
