Over the years, the young pianist Albert Sanz has become one of our country’s stand-out jazz musicians, touring with such figures as Kart Rosenwinkel, Chris Cheek, Al Forster and Joe Lovano, as well as regularly working with artists like Rossy and Sambeat. His youthful talent can be traced from 2004’s acclaimed album El fabulador to Los Guys, on which Sanz plays alongside Chris Cheek, Larry Grenadier and Jeff Ballard, Metamorfosis, featuring Masa Kamaguchi on piano and RJ Miller on drums, and his later appearance on En la imaginación, with Silvia Pérez Cruz & Javier Colina Trío. O que será is the title of his latest album, on which Albert Sanz is accompanied by artists of the calibre of Al Foster and Javier Colina to perform works by Brazilian composers as well as jazz standards.
