BONGO BOTRAKO
flamenc i rumba, mestissatge // reggae, punk
Uri formed this band in a Tarragona square that he calls Plaza de la Alegría (“Happiness Square”), the title of one of the tracks on Todos los días sale el sol, their first album. The street is a palpable presence in their music: simple and direct, fusion many different sounds yet, at the same time, defying classification. An explosive mixture that some have called punk parranda, “party punk”. In 2012, they unveiled Revoltosa and signed up Gambeat (Mano Negra, Radio Bemba) to help them produce their new live sound. Bongo Botrako take to the stage with force and energy action, giving their all from the first song to the last. In just three and a half years, the band has performed more than 190 concerts all over the Iberian Peninsula and France.
