Demonstrating that ethereal phrases are not at odds with epic and emotive atmospheres, Boreals create music that flows from ambient electronica to organic post-rock that makes them one of the most exciting new bands on the music scene today. From Emeralds’ atmospheric textures to the Fuck Buttons’ ecstatic use of noise and Mogwai’s guitar riffs, Boreals choose their influences with care whilst cooking up a completely personal and characteristic sound.
Boreals leave no one indifferent. Amongst their fans, Mondosonoro rated theirs the third-best Spanish demo, and El Mundo/Tendències, Musikorner, Eufonies, etc., have all sworn allegiance. Not only that but, in the US, Paste Magazine calls them “one of Barcelona’s best-kept secrets”.
