Montse Homs was born in Gurb (Osona). She was an elementary school teacher for over thirty years, during the course of which she published Els Murris, teaching material that includes a dozen illustrated stories. She has also published stories in Cavall Fort children’s magazine and writes poetry. Montse Homs studied at the Barcelona Atheneum’s Writing School.
