Last days to see SINGULARITY, by Albert Serra, in Venice

SINGULARITY, the project that has represented Catalonia at the Venice Biennale, closes its doors on 22 November. Created by the film-maker Albert Serra and curated by Chus Martínez, it was chosen by the jury appointed by the Institut Ramon Llull. It is a 12-hour film which, from 16 December, can also be seen at the Virreina Centre de la Imatge in Barcelona.

Catalonia, invited to the Regensburg CinEScultura Festival

Catalonia and Nicaragua will be the guests of honour at the 7th CinEScultura Festival, which is held annually in the German city of Regensburg and will take place from 25 April to 23 May. Launched in 2008 and organised by Regensburg University, the aim is to present Spanish and Latin American cinema and culture in order to broaden cultural and academic relations and to establish synergies. This year, coinciding with the celebration of the Tercentenary, the festival will be devoting a large part of its programme to Catalan cinema and culture, with 22 films as well as literary talks, concerts, exhibitions and plays. The Catalan programme has the support of the Institut Ramon Llull.

Catalonia is the focus of the prestigious Salisbury International Arts Festival

The British city of Salisbury will host more than 25 Catalan cultural offerings between 24th May and 8th June, which will be included in the Salisbury International Arts Festival with the slogan "the festival celebrates the vibrant arts of Catalonia".

The Institut Ramon Llull is a consortium that comprises the Generalitat (Government of Catalonia), Balearic Islands Government and the Barcelona City Council, and its mission is the promotion of Catalan language and culture abroad.
