The call for selection for teachers of Catalan studies abroad is open

Tuesday 21 April marks the opening of the period for submission of applications for the call for selection for teachers of Catalan studies abroad in universities outside the language area for the academic year 2015-16.  

Altogether there are 24 places for universities in Germany, Brazil, Croatia, Spain, the United States, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic and China, all of them on the Institut Ramon Llull Catalan studies abroad network. The universities mainly offer Catalan language courses integrated into the programmes, but also culture, literature, translation and sociolinguistics.

To apply for any of these places candidates must meet the following minimum requirements: to have a degree, postgraduate degree or PhD in the sphere of arts and humanities, preferably in Catalan philology; to hold a higher level certificate or equivalent in Catalan and accredit knowledge of the official language of the country of destination (if the official language is English, French, German or Italian).
