This Thursday, 22 May, marks the opening of the period for the submission of applications for the competition for the selection of teachers of Catalan studies at universities outside the Catalan language sphere. In all there are 16 posts for universities in Germany, France, the USA, the UK, Spain, Mexico, Portugal and Israel, all on the IRL Catalan studies abroad network.
The candidates have to fill in the online form and add the information required in the conditions.
To opt for any of those posts candidates must meet the following requirements, among others: to hold a degree or doctorate in the sphere of the arts and humanities, preferable in Catalan philology, or to provide proof of an application for the issue of the relevant qualification; to hold the Higher Level Certificate in Catalan or equivalent and accredit knowledge of the official language of the country of destination (requirement applicable if the official language of the country is English, French, German or Italian).
