Five Catalan groups at the Bardentreffen Festival in Nuremberg

30/07/2025

One of Germany’s leading world music festivals has programmed some of the most acclaimed acts on today’s Catalan music scene for the 2nd and 3rd of August. This line-up has been made possible with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull through its international programmers’ grant scheme.

Alba Armengou, Ketekalles, Balkan Paradise Orchestra, Las Karamba and Tarta Relena are the five Catalan groups scheduled to perform over the weekend of 2 and 3 August at the Festival Bardentreffen in Nuremberg. It is one of the largest world music festivals in Germany, and its free format allows audiences broad access to the featured artists.

Saturday’s Catalan performances will begin with Alba Armengou at 7 p.m. on Trödelmarkt, followed by Ketekalles at 9.45 p.m. on Insel Schütt.

On Sunday, Alba Armengou will give a second performance at 4.15 p.m. at St. Katharina. Balkan Paradise Orchestra will take to the Hauptmarkt stage at 5.15 p.m., and finally, Tarta Relena will close the Catalan programme with a concert at 9 p.m. at St. Katharina.
