Literature.  19/10/2018

This year, the “Festival de la Palabra” (Written Word Festival), to be held from 19 to 21 October in Lima (Peru), has invited the writer Anna Manso. With the support of the IRL, the Catalan author will offer a writing workshop and will take part in two conferences, accompanied by other famous names in the international literary scene.

Once again this year, the Centro Cultural PUCP (PUCP Cultural Centre), located in Lima (the capital city of Peru), is to host the Festival de la Palabra, an event that seeks to pay homage to the written word as a basic tool in communications and in conveying culture, creating a training area for new audiences and promoting the bringing together of art and humanities professionals.

On 18 and 19 October, the author and script writer Anna Manso is to offer a workshop with the title “Llegir i escriure: com despertar la creativitat a l’aula” (Reading and writing: how to awaken creativity in the classroom). This seminar seeks to provide primary school teachers with tools to stimulate creativity among pupils through reading and writing.

The following day, on 20 October, from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., Manso is to take part in a conference along with other authors, such as Constanza Gutiérrez, María José Caro and Gabriel Ruiz Ortega. The conference “Desde los ojos del niño (From a child’s eyes)” explores how to explain complex life situations to children.

The last activity involving the Catalan author will be the talk “Historias que marcaron mi vida (Stories that marked my life)”, which analyses how fiction can help live life with love and humour. Manso will share the table with Jeremías Gamboa, Sofía Carrillo, Fernando Ampuero, Norma Martínez, Alejandro Neyra and Clara Elvira Ospina on 21 October from 9.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m.
