A good handful of Catalan films have been programmed every year, since the film 'Black Bread’ by Agustí Villaronga played the starring role at ‘Camera Catalonia’ seven years ago in the first Catalan film focus at the Cambridge Film Festival. This year, the new edition of 'Camera Catalonia' is expected to be a great success with four films that represent Catalan productions from the past year. 

The films taking part in the Catalan focus are 

Miss Dalí by Ventura Pons. A production by Films de la Rambla

The Free Life by Marc Recha. A production by Turkana Films and La Periférica Producciones

Jean François and The Meaning of Life by Sergi Portabella. A production by A Contraluz, Televisió de Catalunya and Surprise Alley.

Julia Ist by Elena Martín. A production by Lastor Media, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, Antaviana Films

The Cambridge Film Festival defines itself as a relatively small and welcoming film festival that brings together audiences, actors, directors and script writers. Directed by Tony Jones, the festival takes place in different cinemas around the city and in unconventional outdoor areas. 

'Camera Catalonia' is supported by the Institut Ramon Llull. The Catalan section is coordinated by the producer Reel Solutions and its director Ramon Lamarca.
