Grants for the promotion of Catalan and Aranese literature abroad cover the following activities: events abroad to promote Catalan and Aranese literature (international literary festivals, presentations and new translation promotion plans), monographic pieces on Catalan and Aranese literature in cultural journals and sample translations and dossiers on Catalan and Aranese literary works for use abroad. Grant applications may be submitted from the day after the call for applications is published in the DOGC (Official Gazette of the Government of Catalonia) until October 5, 2018.

This grant is just one of the literature initiatives offered by the IRL; others include grants for publishers for translating Catalan literature, subsidies for writers to travel abroad, residencies for foreign translators in Catalonia, publishers’ fellowships and grants for the publication of illustrated books.
