Catalan presence at the Freiburg International Performing Arts and Music Fair

13 Catalan associations will be at the 30th edition of the Internationale Kulturbörse Freiburg (Germany) from 21st to 24th January, through the Department of Culture’s Catalan Arts stand 




Catalan presence at the IKF will be concentrated on the stand organized by the Institut Català de les Empreses Culturals (Catalan Institute for Cultural Companies), under the international brand Catalan Arts, with which the aim is to give the sector more support by presenting the Catalan proposals to the professional public, chiefly programmers and managers of festivals of street arts, theatre, dance, children’s shows, circus and music.

Of the 13 associations present this year at Kulturbörse Freiburg, and as at previous editions, five will take part with their shows in the programme of live performances from the fair. They are: La IntrusaCentre de titelles de Lleida in the central foyer, Fernando Pose at the Theatersaal 2 in the gala Varietes, Peus de Porc at stand ZF5, and Tombs Creatius at stand ZF3.

Besides these companies, there will also be other entities present at the fair, with the aim of making new contacts to enable them to enter the German market, or to strengthen the contacts already established at previous editions.  The other Catalan companies that have confirmed their attendance at Kulturbörse Freiburg 2018 are: Bigolis teatreCampi qui pugui produccionsCia La TalImaginartPonten PiePuntMoc and Últim Vals.

As part of the support activities organized by the ICEC, there will be a networking meeting at the fair on Monday 22nd January at 6.30 p.m. at stand 2.3.36 Government of Catalonia – Catalan Arts, with the aim of promoting contacts between the Catalan companies and the festival programmers at the fair. 

The fair is one of the main gatherings for performing arts festival programmers and managers in Germany and Central Europe
