The ArteKino Festival, from 6th to 11th December, is the result of collaboration between Arte and the Cinémathèque Française for the support and visibility of European cinema d’auteur. For the first time, the films in the festival are moving from Internet to the big screen. The ten films being shown are addressed to the general public, and also to a professional audience that can disseminate and produce the projects of the young creators.

The film 'Vivir y otras ficciones' by Jo Sol, which is being released in cinemas thanks to Films de Deux Rives, is one of those selected and will be premiered at the Cinémathèque Française on Saturday 9th December in the presence of its director. The film was shown during the latest editions of the Festival Cinespaña in Toulouse and Dífferent 10 in Paris.

Jo Sol – the acronym of Jordi Solé – continues his investigations based on a hybrid of fiction and the documentary. In Vivir y otras ficciones, the director places his camera in front of Pepe – an activist affected by functional diversity – and Antonio – a former pilot with psychiatric disorders. They will end up being two people whose paths will cross to change their views of life. The production is accompanied by the music of El niño de Elche.

Jo Sol (Barcelona, 1968) began making documentaries in Cuba, Mexico and India. He has also directed El Sueño (2013), Fake orgasm (2010), El Taxista ful (2005) and Tatawo (2000), his first film.
