The Università degli Studi Suor Orsola Benincasa and the Archivo di Stato di Napoli are holding the international congress Llull: Filosofia, Filologia, Pedagogia, Storia. Napoli all’epoca di Llull from 20th November to 3rd December. This will bring about thirty experts to Naples to discuss the different aspects of Llull’s work, a figure whose importance was on a par with the Italian Dante Alighieri.
The congress will be held for four days at the Università degli Studi Suor Orsola Benincasa and the Archivo di Stato di Napoli, and it will study the work and philosophy of Llull above all from a Neapolitan perspective, as is the case with the lectures Sojorn a Nàpols de Ramon Llull (Pere Villalba, UAB), Le lingue romanze a Napoli al tempo di Llull (Charmaine Lee, Università di Salerno), Simmetrie dantesche (Eduard Vilella, UAB), and La discreta lectura de Llull a la cort napolitana d’Alfons el Magnànim (Abel Soler, University of Valencia).
