The artist Marcel·lí Antúnez creates the digital installation Alsaxy at Le Shadok in Strasbourg

Arts.  Strasbourg, 22/10/2015

The Alsaxy project is the result of the artist’s creative residency in the Hautepierre district last August, and it combines shows with an interactive installation that can be visited from 21st October 2015 to 16th January 2016.

The exhibition brings together key works in the artistic career of Marcel·lí Antúnez, renowned for his trans-disciplinary career. It combines theatre, visual arts, cinema, robotics and digital arts. There will also be the new installation Alsaxy, the result of Marcel·lí Antúnez’s stay in Hautepierre last summer.

Alsaxy reinterprets, through contemporary eyes, some forms from the mythical, age-old past, and the association they have had with discourses at times critical, at others emotional, and almost always ironic.

Marcel·lí Antúnez Roca is internationally renowned for his mechanical performances and his robotic installations. His artistic career covers a period of 30 years, during which time he has developed a very personal visual and iconoclastic world, based on a reflection about the systems of artistic production.

The exhibition, which can be seen from 22nd October 2015 until 16th January 2016, brings together works from different artistic disciplines
