SCAT- Scotland Catalan Film Festival- Glasgow and Edinburgh

Cinemaattic’s Catalan Film Festival returns to Scotland bigger than ever with ten days celebrating Catalan culture. The festival runs from 2-5 November in Glasgow and 13-18 November in Edinburgh. Scotland Catalan Film Festival is back with a new name – SCAT –  and an extended programme of films where music, poetry and performance will also be part of this year’s edition.

Artists selected for new Catalonian & Balearic Residency Programme

Dulce DucaCia. PakiPaya Collectivo Terzo Livello and Cia. Pau Palaus have been chosen by SeaChange Arts to take part in the residency program for artists and troupes from Catalonia and the Balearic Islands. With the support of Institut d'Estudis BaleàricsInstitut Ramon Llull and Trapezi, the Catalan circus festival, they will undertake a residency from October 2018 to June 2019.

Iolanda Batallé, new Director of Institut Ramon Llull

On Wednesday, September 26, the Institute Ramon Llull’s Governing Board named writer and publisher Iolanda Batallé the new director of the Institute. Batallé takes the place of Manuel Forcano, who has occupied the position for the past two-and-a-half years.
