Clara Sanabras presents "A Hum About Mine Ears"

Music.  London, 15/09/2019

Catalan artist presents an album that rewrites the main themes in Shakespeare's The Tempest through music.

Catalan musician Clara Sanabras will be performing at the Sam Wanamaker House, at the Shakespeare Globe, on the 15th of September.

She will be presenting her project A Hum About Mine Ears, which premiered at the Barbican in 2016. The album combines elements of jazz and European folk to rewrite The Tempest's main themes and relate them to the musician's personal experiences as a migrant woman.

The artist, Clara Sanabras, has performed all around the world, including the Sydney Opera House, Glastonbury Festival and the Palau de la Música. She has recorded multiple studio albums, A Hum About Mine Ears being her latest title, preceded by El vol dispers - Songs of Spanish Exile, which launched in 2015 at King's Place and at the legendary New York venue, Joe's Pub.

Don't miss the chance to see one of the finest voices in Catalan music at one of the most well-renowned venues in the city.
