To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Quartet Casals will perform at Wigmore Hall on Thursday, 20 September 2018 at 7.30pm, as part of a six-concert series of the complete Beethoven quartets. The concert will be approximately 2h in duration, including an interval. Institute Ramon Llull is supporting this performance.
The Russian pianist offers Prokofiev’s wispy but characterful collection of 20 miniature ‘fleeting visions’, written between 1915 and 1917, before joining Cuarteto Casals in Brahms’s grandly impassioned piano quintet, a cornerstone of the Romantic chamber repertory.
