AIRE/ARIA/AIR curated by Olga Subirós was selected by an expert panel from an open called organized by the Institut Ramon Llull. The 16th International Architecture Exhibition 2020 will open on May 23th 2020.

<![CDATA[Professor and translator Ko Tazawa, winner of the 29th Ramon Llull International Prize for Catalan Studies and Cultural Diversity ]]>Cultura. 26/06/2019
The jury of the Ramon Llull International Prize has unanimously decided to grant this distinction in its Catalan Studies and Cultural Diversity category to the professor in the Department of Intercultural Studies at Hosei University, Ko Tazawa, a translator of works by Catalan authors into Japanese and the translator of Yukio Mishima into Catalan, as well as the founder of Catalan Studies in Japan. The jury particularly showcased his role as a trainer of experts in Catalan Studies in Japan.

<![CDATA[The Ibero-American Temporada Alta closes its seventh edition with almost 7,400 spectators and 78% occupancy in its three branches: Buenos Aires, Lima and Montevideo]]>Escèniques. 27/02/2019

The last functions of Temporada Alta in Ibero-America were held this weekend, closing almost 4 weeks of performances in 3 countries (Argentina, Peru and Uruguay). There was a total of 81 functions, 33 of which correspond to Catalan productions and the Transatlantic Dramaturgy Tournament, with more than 2,000 spectators and the cooperation of the Institut Ramon Llull. Temporada Alta Buenos Aires achieved 100% occupancy with Terra Baixa, Cases, Calma! and Vida, the productions that the festival took to the other side of the Atlantic with the goal of internationalising the country’s theatre scene.

In the future, the Faber will serve as the bedrock for launching a network of residencies focusing on the arts, sciences and humanities across the Catalan-speaking world.

The Ramon Llull Foundation celebrated the seventh edition of the Ramon Llull International Award in Andorra today. The prize is awarded to individuals or institutions outside the Catalan-speaking territories who have striven to promote Catalan language and culture on the international stage. This year’s prizes went to Maria Delgado, the foremost British expert in Catalan cinema and theatre, Finnish linguist Christer Laurén, and Portuguese translator Artur Guerra. Laurén received the Ramon Llull International Award for Catalan Studies and Linguistic Diversity, which is jointly awarded by the Ramon Llull Foundation and the Fundació Congrés de Cultura Catalana.
