“Catalan: a minoritized language”, a talk at University of Cambridge

Òscar Escuder, president of the NGO Plataforma per la Llengua, will give a talk at Cambridge University about the current situation of the Catalan language and what can be done to improve it.




Born in 1993, Plataforma per la Llengua is an NGO that works to make Catalan the common language and a language of social cohesion in the territories where it is spoken. Its president, Òscar Escuder, will be giving a talk next Wednesday, 8th of May at 5:30pm at the Old Library in Darwin College (University of Cambridge).

The talk, named Catalan: a minoritized language – What can an NGO do to reverse this situation? will focus on the current social situation of the Catalan language and the actions taken by organisations such as Plataforma per la Llengua to improve it.
