Joana Serrat UK Tour

Catalan folk singer Joana Serrat returns to London with her latest album ‘Cross The Verge’ on 25 January at The Islington. The talented artist's tour includes Celtic Connections in Glasgow on 30 January and concerts in Nottingham, Exeter, Bexhill, Manchester and Newcastle.

The University of Cambridge is calling for papers for the conference 'Limits and extensions of the subject in contemporary Iberian Culture' taking place at the Fitzwillian College on 16-17 July 2017. Suggestions for 20-minute long proposals in English, Spanish, Catalan or Portuguese are invited. Deadline 1 February.

Love of Lesbian return to London

After sold out gigs at London’s Scala in March 2011 and Coronet Theatre in 2013, Barcelona Indie band Love of Lesbian comes back to the UK to perform unique show in London promoted by Rock Sin Subtítulos.The Catalan band, led by Santi Balmes, performs at The Grand at 8pm.

The Centre for Catalan Studies, Queen Mary University of London, presents a talk by Professor Brad Epps (University of Cambridge) on the cinematic representation of Catalonia in the late 1960s and early 70s. The event takes place on Tuesday 28 March and is part of the Queen Mary Catalan Seminars supported by the Institut Ramon Llull.
