The Catalandrama project, set up and managed by the Sala Beckett/Obrador Internacional de Dramatúrgia in collaboration with the Institut Ramon Llull, aims to promote Catalan drama internationally and facilitate performances of Catalan plays in theatres throughout the world.

The database currently includes 251 translations of the works of 34 playwrights into 12 different languages. You can access these translations at no cost, as well as up-to-date information about the authors, scripts and performances of the plays throughout the world, at www.catalandrama.cat.

Of the 627 requests received, a total of 516 were for translations into Spanish, 61 for English translations and 18 for German ones. The rest of the requests were for texts translated into other languages (Czech, French, Galician, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian and Slovakian).

The most requested works were plays by Sergi Belbel, Josep M. Benet i Jornet, Carles Batlle, Gerard Vázquez, Pau Miró and Mercè Sarrias.
