The Cadaqués Orchestra goes on tour in Germany

The Cadaqués Orchestra, created in 1988 under the baton of Edmon Colomer, is performing three concerts on 19 August to open the Bremen Festival. The next day the orchestra is performing in the German city of Jever.




A total of four concerts in Germany will further underline the professionalism and quality of the Cadaqués Orchestra that has won them such international acclaim. The orchestra has performed worldwide, including tours of South East Asia and the United States, participation in the Festival of the Dominican Republic, a tour of Japan, numerous performances in Spain at the many festivals in Cadaqués, the Thousand-and-One Nights in the gardens of Peralada Castle, the Zaragoza Auditorium and the Ibermúsica Season, for which it is the resident orchestra.

19:30 Mendelssohn: Symphony No. 3. in A minor, Op. 56, "Scottish"

Performed by the Cadaqués Orchestra, conducted by Jaime Martín. 

21:00 | Schumann: Concerto for piano and orchestra in A minor, Op. 54

Performed by the Cadaqués Orchestra with Khatia Buniatishvili on piano, conducted by Jaime Martín. 

22:30 Albéniz/Guinovart: Two Iberian landscapes: Asturias and Castile. Rodrigo: Concierto de Aranjuez.

Performed by the Cadaqués Orchestra with Pablo Sáinz Villegas on guitar, conducted by Jaime Martín.
