Cinema.  Pantin, 08/06/2017

The first solo work by Barcelona-born Blanca Camell is to be screened at the Festival Coté Court in Pantin, France, whose 26th edition will be held from 7th to 17th June. It is one of the most important events with regard to short and medium-length films.

Blanca Camell Galí presents her first project as a solo director, Ídols (Idols), at the Côté Court Festival in Pantin, France. The event has become an important date in the world of short films. For ten days, the city in northern France will be a centre of screenings and discussions, and an important meeting place for professionals, directors and the general public.

Ídols (2017, Bocalupo Films) takes place at a party in Barcelona where Helena (played by Marta Camell) hopes to meet a former lover with whom she is still in love. As the night progresses, her initial sensuality turns into contempt and gives way to a poetic introspection that goes beyond a generational portrait.

The film will be shown in the category Fiction#1 at the Cinéma 104 in Pantin on the 8th, 11th and 14th June.
