Camera Catalonia at the Cambridge Film Festival

Cambridge Film Festival celebrates its 36th edition from 20 to 27 October. Back by popular demand, the festival continues its focus on Camera Catalonia. For the fifth time, the festival features contemporary Catalan cinema and highlights the varied and creative output arising from one of Europe’s oldest cultures, with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull. Featuring four UK premieres including two of the most successful box office comedies in recent years: Barcelona Summer Night and the sequel Barcelona Christmas Night; a fascinating documentary about Xavier Cugat, a Catalan musician during the golden years of Hollywood who became one of the originators of the Latin sound, Sex, Maracas & Chihuahuas; plus The Virus of Fear by renowned Catalan film director Ventura Pons.
