The photographs of Enric Duch show a very special guesthouse in Berlin

Arts.  Berlin, 13/11/2014

An exhibition by the Catalan photographer Enric Duch presents snapshots that show a guesthouse with some very special guests: animals. Guest House explores the contradictory relationship between humans and animals and condemns the living conditions of the flamingos or the apes that live in German zoos. The show, curated by Franca Drewes and Oliver Vaccaro, can be seen in the La Boîte Gallery in Berlin from 13th to 30th November. The Institut Ramon Llull is helping to publicize the event.

Photographer Enric Duch was born in Barcelona in 1969. There he studied at the Institut d’Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya and since 1995 he has worked as an architectural photographer, specializing in urban landscapes. His work shows a clear interest in exploring animals and the spaces they live in, especially zoos. The exhibition Guest House in Berlin opens on 13th November at 6.30 p.m. and can be seen until 30th November. The opening hours are Monday to Friday, from 2 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 3 to 9 p.m., and Sundays from 3 to 7 p.m.

13th to 30th November
