Performing Arts.  Birmingham,  23/06/2015
Be Festival, Birmingham’s festival of European theatre, returns with three Catalan companies in its 6th edition: Atresbandes, Bot Project and Fundación Collado Van Hoestenberghe, supported by the Institut Ramon Llull. From 23 to 27 June, Be Festival brings together 23 performances from nine countries along with exhibitions, workshops and discussions. Five days of exchange, inspiration and the best of European non-conventional performing arts.

Film director Mar Coll will join us on Friday 26 June for the screening of her second feature, Tots volem el millor per a ella (We All Want What's Best for Her), a film that confirms her ability to dissect the inner workings of the Catalan bourgeoisie. Part of the Catalan Avant-Garde season. Organised by the ICA, the Institut Ramon Llull and Reel Solutions.

Catalan companies return to the Greenwich + Docklands International Festival, London's leading festival of free outdoor performing arts that takes place from 26 June to 5 July. Toc de Fusta and Brodas Bros will be performing at this ten-day celebration whose programme includes over 30 national and international companies.

Mendetz has been confirmed to perform at Glastonbury Festival, the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world. The self-described 'artisans of robotics' are just back from their second China tour and will bring the best of their electronic sound experimentation to the prestigious stage in June. 
Visual Arts.  Birmingham,  18/06/2015
This two-day interdisciplinary conference seeks to foster dialogue between scholars, artists, poets and experimental filmmakers about the incorporation of digital technologies in poetic and artistic practices in Catalonia, from the 1970s onwards. The conference will take place on 18 and 19 June at the University of Birmingham.

The Catalan singer-songwriter comes to the Barbican for his debut UK concert as part of a worldwide tour celebrating 50 years in music. Serrat presents his new album, Antología Desordenada, a personal selection of songs from five decades and over 600 compositions.
Literature.  Oxford,  10/06/2015
Blackwells Oxford host an evening's discussion on Spanish and Catalan fiction in translation with author Javier Cercas and Peter Bush, translator of authors like Joan Sales and Josep Pla, on Wednesday 10 June.

Street theatre companies Insectotròpics and Co.LAB.se will perform at the outdoor live art space in Hounslow Bell Square this month. Insectotròpics will present, ‘La Caputxeta Galàctica', a unique interactive multi-media production inspired in the story of Little Red Riding Hood on 20 June. Expect surprises, accidents and catastrophes with company Co.LAB.se as you wait for your table to be ready as part of their show 'Mesa para 2' on 6 June. 
Architecture and design.  London,  04/06/2015
Architect and design engineer Francesc Serra takes part in the London Festival of Architecture – Open Studios on 4, 5 and 6 June. All welcome to visit his studio located near London Fields and discover interactive installation RAINBOW and work in progress for future projects including set design, performance and interventions in the public space.

'Skin in Flames' is one of the most outstanding Catalan contemporary plays. Written by playwright Guillem Clua, this political thriller is brought to the London stage for the first time in English by Bots & Barrals and StoneCrabs Theatre. This new production will be at Park Theatre until 6 June.
