The London Spanish Film Festival celebrates the 6th edition of the Catalan Window from 25 September to 5 October, featuring 6 films from Catalonia with the attendance of directors of most of the films with the support of the Institut Ramon Llull. The festival dedicates a special feature this year to Vicente Aranda with a selection of films from his long career as a director, screenwriter and producer.

The Cambridge Film Festival, the UK's third longest-running film festival celebrates its 34th edition from 28 August to 7 September at the Arts Picturehouse and other venues in Cambridge. Building on a successful two years of celebrating the best of Catalan Cinema, the festival returns with the strand Camera Catalonia from 6 to 7 September.

The LX Anglo-Catalan Society Annual Conference will be held at the University College Cork from 5 to 7 September 2014. The programme covers a wide diversity of topics including linguistics, history, literature and sociology whose common denominator is the Catalan dimension. One of the main subjects this year will be the 'Memory and the Cultures of Commemoration in the Catalan Speaking Territories'. The Joan Gili Memorial Lecture is entitled 'Maria-Mercè Marçal i els moviments idenitaris dels anys 70' and will be presented by Lluïsa Julià (IOC) on Saturday 6 September.

Company Sarruga will perform stunning underwater show 'Peixos' at the opening of the Tall Ships Festival on Friday 5 September. The Catalan Street Theatre group will transform the grounds of the Old Royal Naval College into an ocean with amazing giant creatures of the sea.

Catalan photographer Arnau Oriol will show his series ‘Pre-Olympic Landscapes’ in a collective show about the redefinition of the London East End that features 11 international photographers. The exhibition is curated by Tendai Davies and David Boulogne and will be open from 10 September to 5 November at the Russet in Hackney.
