Be Festival, Birmingham’s festival celebrating the best of European theatre, opens this year at its new home at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 2 to 12 July. David Espinosa/Local Espacio de Creación will pesent their critically-acclaimed show 'Mi gran obra' as part of the programme that brings together 23 performances plus exhibitions, workshops, discussions, live music and food. The director of Teatre de Bescanó, Quim Marcé, will give a talk on alternative economies inspired by the carrots that made his theatre famous.

Media Space to host first major UK exhibition by winner of the 2013 Hasselblad International Award in Photography, Joan Fontcuberta, including key works from the artist’s world-renowned oeuvre from 23 July to 9 November 2014Stranger Than Fiction is presented in collaboration with the Government of Catalonia, organiser of the Catalan Tercentenary programme.

Six Catalan circus and theater companies will present their  this year in Watch This Space,one of the main outdoor festivals in the United Kingdom organised by the National Theatre that takes part in London from 27 June to 31 August. This year's programme includes Catalan companies Sienta la Cabeza, Cia. Jordi L Vidal,  Itinerània, Laitrum Teatre, Kamchàtka and The Wandering Orquestra.

The 2014 edition of the York Early Music Festival features the theme ‘Golden Ages: Music from the Spanish Golden Age to the Path of the Enlightenment’. Undoubtedly one of the highlights is the concert ‘Kalenda Maya: Folias and Dances from Palace andand Desert’ on 10 July, performed by Hespèrion XXI and directed by Jordi Savall . The programme also includes two Catalan Films: ‘Jordi Savall and The Borgias’ and ‘The Silence before Bach’.

Using recycled wood, Tombs Creatius brings fun for the whole family through a series of nine games inspired on the story of Mr Tonet's travels and his adventures. At the same time, the unusual ensemble The Wandering Orquestra take their brilliant blend of classical music with quirky street theatre to the festival. These two Catalan companies present their shows at Hat Fair Festival, the UK's longest running street arts festival, which takes place in Winchester from 4 to 6 July.

Digital Revolution is an exhibition featuring Art, Design, Film, Music and Video Games that celebrates the transformation of the arts through digital technology since 1970; it's on show at the Barbican from 3 July to 14 September. The show includes a new project called DevArt organised in collaboration with Google that presents four new gallery commissions. Barcelona based inventors and creative developers Varvara Guljajeva and Mar Canet are part of the project alongside computational designer Karsten Schmidt and artist and educator Zach Lieberman.

After the success of their previous show 'You and Me', Little Soldier Productions come back to the UK stage from 23 July with their new project ‘The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha’ produced in association with Jacksons Lane. Three actors, one guitarist, an artist and boundless ambition make this dramatisation of the celebrated novel Don Quixote de la Mancha a must-see.
