Montsalvatge Centennial

A documentary, a lecture, an exhibition, the presentation of a biography, and music -- lots of music. This is the proposal for Monsalvatge Days, organized by the Institut Ramon Llull and the Xavier Montsalvatge Composer Association, to commemorate the centennial of the birth of Catalan composer Xavier Montsalvatge (1912, Girona – 2002, Barcelona). The ceremony introducing the events is set to take place on November 13, and will include the screening of the documentary Xavier Montsalvatge – Half violin, a seat and a piano. Three days later, on November 15, the opening of an exhibit on the composer will be held at Instituto Cervantes.
