Montsalvatge Centennial
A documentary, a lecture, an exhibition, the presentation of a biography, and music -- lots of music. This is the proposal for Monsalvatge Days, organized by the Institut Ramon Llull and the Xavier Montsalvatge, Composer Association, to commemorate the centennial of the birth of Catalan composer Xavier Montsalvatge (March 11, 1912, Girona – May 7, 2002, Barcelona.)

SYMPOSIUM – “Catalonia and the Labor Movement”
Catalonia always has had a special significance in the history of the international labor movement. In the academic world, especially in the fields of the humanities and social sciences, Catalonia often is associated with strong labor activism. International interest in the Catalan labor movement, with all its factions and internal conflicts, is particularly intense in the English-speaking world, which has a long tradition of studies of the political progressivism of the Iberian lands.

September, 7, 8 and 9 - Montreal
Montreal’s Festival “Les Escales Improbables”
The Catalan theatrical company Antigua i Barbuda will be in Montreal to present its show Les tumbones (Chaise-Longues) on September 7, 8, and 9, as part of Montreal's Festival "Les Escales Improbables". This festival, which celebrates its ninth edition, will take place September 2-15 in the old port of the Canadian city. The complete festival program will be available sometime in July.

Pep Coll at Montreal’s International literature festival
Author Pep Coll, a native of Lleida (Pallars Jussà, 1949) will be a guest at this year’s Montreal International Festival of Literature, as part of a group of European authors that will attend the September festival. They appear under the auspices of the group Lisez l'Europe, which has hosted the festival for the past four years.

July, 5-8 – Quebec // July, 20th - Montreal
"Caballos de Menorca" at the Quebec Festival
Caballos de Menorca, the show produced by Tutatis Distribuciones, is having two productions in Canada. The first presentation, July 5-8, comprised four consecutive daily shows at the Quebec Summer Festival. The second takes place on July 20, in Montreal's Just for Laughs Festival.
