The novel Mira'm als ulls (Look Me in the Eye) by Sílvia Soler has just been released in English by the British publishing house Parthian, in a translation by Richard Thomson. This project has received the support of the Institut Ramon Llull, as part if its grant programme for translations.

Josep Maria Benet i Jornet’s play Desire will be performed at the White Bear Theatre in London from July 13th through the 31st. The July 16th performance includes the discussion “In conversation with Josep Maria Benet i Jornet,” scheduled for 12:30pm at the theatre. Participants include the playwright, the play’s director Julia Stubbs, and translator Sharon G. Feldman.

Pep Bou, Los Gingers and La Pegatina take part in the Festival d'été de Québec

The 42nd Quebec City Summer Festival will take place from 8th to 18th July and will feature shows by Los Gingers and Pep Bou and the band La Pegatina, in collaboration with the Institut Ramon Llull. The 11-day festival, one of Canada’s most important cultural offerings, includes a programme of over 300 events showcasing artists from around the world.

En Blanc premieres the Spanish version of MARIA? at the Feria del teatro del Sur theatre festival (Cordoba)

The theatre company En Blanc has selected the “Feria de Teatro del Sur” theatre festival in Palma del Rio (Cordoba) for the premiere of its play MARIA? in its Spanish translated version. The festival, which is being held on the 27th time this year, includes various indoor and street performances, which last year had over 12,000 spectators. The Spanish version of the play MARIA? will premiere in the Reina Victoria theatre, and will be seen by programmers from all over Spain.
